QliQBot
Last updated 17 October 2026
QliQBot is the website crawler run by QliQ (qliqnow.com). If you've seen it in your server logs, this page explains what it does and how to stop it.
It identifies itself with this User-Agent:
QliQBot/1.0 (+https://qliqnow.com/bot)
1. What QliQBot does
QliQBot visits public company websites to find official business contact details and product lists for suppliers.
It reads only a few public pages on each site, such as the home, contact, about, products, categories, brands and branches pages. It never reads more than 6 pages per site each time it runs.
2. How it behaves on your site
- It follows your robots.txt. It looks for rules for "QliQBot" first, and otherwise follows the rules for all crawlers ("*").
- It waits at least 2 seconds between requests to the same site.
- If your robots.txt sets a Crawl-delay, it honours it, up to 10 seconds.
- It doesn't run JavaScript, log in, submit forms or use cookies.
3. What it keeps
QliQBot doesn't store your pages. It keeps only the business facts it finds, together with the address of the page each one came from:
- Company name
- Business phone and email shown on the site (it prefers general addresses such as sales@ or info@), and WhatsApp only where the site clearly shows a WhatsApp link or label
- Address and P.O. Box
- Products
It doesn't collect the names of people, and it skips staff and personal mobile numbers.
4. How the details are used
Business details found by QliQBot are for QliQ's admin team only. They aren't published on QliQ, and they aren't used to send marketing messages.
5. How to block QliQBot
Add these lines to your site's robots.txt:
User-agent: QliQBot
Disallow: /QliQBot obeys robots.txt, so it will no longer read any page on your site.
6. Contact us
To ask us to stop visiting your site, or to remove your company's details, email support@qliqnow.com.
